Diversicare is fortunate to have an extremely dedicated, diverse and caring team of volunteers who give up their time for the betterment of our organisation.
Diversicare is always on the lookout for new volunteers to build our team. Our volunteers enhance the quality of life of our clients by providing companionship and support to those in need. Our volunteers engage with our people through a variety of ways.
Volunteers can assist in the following areas:
Community Visitors Scheme (Greater Brisbane area and Toowoomba)
In Brisbane our dedicated volunteers visit residents who live in aged care homes. In Toowoomba volunteers can either visit people who live in aged care homes or people who live in their own homes. Our volunteers specifically support socially isolated residents from Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
Our volunteers are also from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and receive training to assist them perform their friendly visiting role professionally.

Activities centre - West End CONNECT
If you would like to volunteer at the activities centre you can assist our visitors with recreational activities such as outings, arts and crafts, music, preparation of lunch and morning tea and transporting clients.
