Throughout the ageing journey it is important to stay on top of your health and well being.

For those wanting to make their home their place of retirement, Diversicare offers support to eligible members of the community.

General manager Vivienne McDonald said Diversicare offers a comprehensive range of services to improve health and wellbeing.

“Our consumers all desire the same thing – to remain living independently for as long as possible in their own home and we ensure they enjoy a range of services to improve their quality of life”

Diversicare’s food preparation and accompanied shopping services give consumers regular access to fresh, healthy food options and assist with meal planning.

Ms McDonald said that in line with the Queensland Government’s Healthier, Happier initiative Diversicare keeps the community updated with great health and wellness ideas.

“My tip to consumers would be to keep moving – visit your local community centre, join a local walking group or one of Diversicare’s respite groups.

“We want our consumers to not only age healthily but to live happily, so they can make the most out of each day,” Ms McDonald said.

To start receiving Diversicare’s in home support services go online to www.myagedcare.com.au or call 1800 200 422 to check eligibility requirements.
