The smiles in this photo says it all.  They are priceless.

If your elderly loved one has become reluctant to socialise, respite care might be the answer. They may rediscover the joys of company, conversation and outings.

Often, this is the result of coming into contact with people their own age or in the case of Diversicare’s respite attendees, people who have the ability to speak the same language.

Naturally they will discover common memories and interests from their mother country and share stories about their new home country.

There ages and eras will link them and this will have a positive and beneficial effect. They are most likely to go home happy that they have connected and made new friends and this will give them something to look forward to in the future.  It’s a win, win situation for all.
