About 70 staff members ensure excellent service at Berlasco Court.

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Aged Care Chef on a Full Time / Part Time / Casual basis, with experience, dedication and passionate for the elderly, to lead our Kitchen team in our 37 bed Residential Aged Care Facility.

The Chef will provide their cooking expertise and skills to prepare a variety of meals and food services to our 37 residents, meeting their individual needs whilst also catering to events and special occasions as required. The successful applicant will have oversight of all the kitchen team to ensure the delivery of healthy, delicious and nutritious meals.

Candidates who have worked in the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Aged Care Experience working as a Chef within aged care;
  • Previous experience in effectively managing food costs and a kitchen in an aged care or retirement living environment;
  • A trade qualification in commercial cooking;
  • Up to date working knowledge of the aged care standards highly regarded;
  • Enthusiastic approach to your work and take pride in delivering the best possible service and quality food for our residents;
  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and a passion for providing outstanding and nutritious home cooked means for our residents.
