The Vietnamese and Lao respite groups that meets regularly at Diversicare’s West End Connect have been busy crocheting baby hats for months.

The pile of ‘cute-as-a-button’ hats in a myriad of pastels have been slowly growing.  Check them out on the Diversicare Facebook page.

They were recently presented to Mater Foundation Fundraising Officer Gayatri Choudhury by My-Thien Nguyen and Hoa Phan of the Vietnamese respite group (pictured). In turn, the ladies received a framed certificate of appreciation from Ms Choudhury.

She said the hats would be taken to the Mater Mothers Auxiliary shop at the Mater Mothers Hospital where the items would be sold.  All the funds raised would go directly to supporting mothers and babies at the Mater Mothers Hospital.

“It was so lovely to meet the lovely ladies at Diversicare’s West End Connect and to thank them for all their hard work and support,” Ms Choudhury said.
